Field trip to see tower

I enjoyed seeing the tower being put up and I enjoyed going to the warehouse where we got to see some of the models and the wing blades that where their to help collect the wind energy.

I was also glad to see that the experiment could be used to collect data. The tower was also put up on the school campus which was cool.

Evolution of hypothesis

Original question
Do plants affect the human mood by color and smell?

What I learned from this is that most plants do have a subconscious or mental affect on most humans especially young minds because they are not fully developed. Do to that their brains are very open.

How does color change mood?

I learned that color changes your mood faster then the smell of something  because you see things first. Like bright colors make you happy and probably puts a smile on your face. And dark colors usually make lazy or depressed not very active.

But I stuck to my original question do plants affect or change you mood by color or smell?

Human trafficking

Human trafficking has always been a menace to society. Their are so many horrible things that go on in these trafficking rings, such as kid slaves, abuse to woman and children. If they ever manage to escape, the battle is not over. Sometimes they come out with HIV, and other sexual transmitted infections. The only way this could be stopped world is if we all com together and crack down on human trafficking. This brings up my topic question are people made into these indri duals or are they born this way. I feel really bad for the kids that get taken into these rings becuased they are used and abused like slaves. We as people I think have built up like the woman said in the Ted talk that people that really are the victim get outcast like it was their fault. People in this world know right from wrong but it's like they have a mental lapse and they just continue to do the same thing over and over. One day I wish the world will be better but it probably won't be in my lifetime.

Book soundtrack

A Long Way Gone

CLIMAX
The climax occurs when Ishmael realizes he will never escape war and find peace until he leaves Sierra Leone. He finds a way to get to Guinea and then to New York City and become a new person. So the struggle to get out was very tough but he did it. Through the harsh trials and tribulations his hope got him through. I picked this song because it is more of a motivational thing. Like he is just realized his way out.

4 mine today

THEME
There is always Hope. Just when Ishmael seems to be totally lost in the horrors of war, doomed to eventually die at the hands of a war he finds the light at the end of the tunnel. More of a perseverance or a will to escape the horrors of war.

1 native son

PROTAGONIST
Ishmael Baeh a boy from Sierra Leone goes on a climatic journey of sadness, and horror.
I picked this song because it made me think of the character as a more courageous individual because he had to do a lot of things for his friends that he didn't want to do.

Run dmc walk this way

OVERALL SONG
I picked this song because of the fact that through this book it is mostly action thier is no down time through the book. And because these people caught in between didn't like it either because innocent lives are caught in between, so what is war good for.

War huh yeah what is it good for.

Random story things
When he stayed out in the woods for months it became his home. But he dreams of being some where else no where near war. So I chose this song because it depicts all the things he hoped and longed to get away from war.

MATH AND SPORTS&GAMES

This class is awesome I like talking about sports and the statistics of things working out. This is a cool class because it applies learning to real events or things. The one thing I don't like is the constant reminder of the patriots. Just because they go one season eighteen and o their amazing. But back to the good things. I like my teacher he is pretty cool he's funny and always wears a polo. One thing I don't like is lack of using our iPads for the class. And I hate the app. Numbers because it does nothing. I like doing the plinko game I loved doing stuff on football. This is a all around good class it's not to hard and it's not to easy I enjoy this class  and I think everyone should experience this.

This class has made me see the benefits of knowing math in sports such as should you go for it on 4th and 2 on the 50 yard line. I think this is a great class it's exciting and the teacher is awesome besides him being a patriots fan.

Greek police send crime victims to Neo Nazi protectors/ Helena Smith in Athens

Quote:
"I never imagined that something like Golden Dawn would happen here, that Greeks could vote for such people," she sighed. "This policy they have of giving food only to the Greeks and blood only to the Greeks. The whole package is terrifying. This is a party based on hate of 'the other'. Now 'the other' is immigrants, but who will 'the other' be tomorrow?"

Response:
I agree that this uprising of the golden dawn could go really bad. It will probably cause more problems then it can solve. They say they aren't discriminative but they only give certain things like food to their on race. They threatened to beat a foreigner with a club because the other street venders were complaining. I think that this will unravel the Greek government because, there own police force is sending people with there problems to the golden dawn, so they don't have to do anything.

Article Response

Ten Smart Phone Habits you should Avoid By: Andrea Bartz

Quote:
Look, we all have our personal stock of First World Problems, frustrated complaints with the minor injustices committed by a cruel, uncaring world. That's been true since the dawn of time. Now we just have myriad means of expressing them.

Reaction:
Since technology has evolved with the years. Our way of expressing and venting has changed as well. So instead of use writing it in a journal or talking with the person to fix it, we decide to put it out their for the world to see. Places like Facebook, twitter, Skype, and other chat sites. We all have our own problems that need to be dealt with, so we don't need everyone else's problems to add on to our own. So I think for thousands of people to just complain all the time over silly things is ridiculous. We as people should be strong enough to solve our own individual issues to make life a little bit easier.

Mrs. Fords class reflection on yesterday's topic

This topic was good, it showed how evil people really could be. It brought up the question where people born evil or are they made evil. I feel that people are made evil do to situations and trails and tragedys that they go through in every day life. Some of the people you expect to be normal sometimes aren't, they might be trying to do you in. Sometimes that person trying to do you in could be closer than you think like your own family, and friends. This was a great topic we talked about and  it opened my eyes to a whole different side of people. It made me think what made them do that? What were they thinking? Why didn't people stop this? Why is are judicial system so easy on people that commit rape, but harder on the people who do drugs. In my mind it should be the other way around they should be harder on the rapest and child molesters. Anyways other then that this is a great class I think everyone should take, because I enjoy the conversations we have.

WRAP AURASMA

I would give it to the military because we could do a lot of deversionary and strategic battle techniques. It could be because you could turn it into the new face time but it could more of a holographic thing. This would be great for people who could not read or talk or even deaf.

WRAP likely not likely invest

I think the millennium computer watch is more likely to succeed becuase it is plausible and it could be mass manufactured. The Eco jet pack is not likly becuase we probably won't have the technology to do that. I would invest in the watch becuase it would sell a lot.

WRAP my technology

My favorite piece of technology is and has to be the games system. It started out asjust a rock and a piece of string and now it has involved into a controller and sestym I think twenty years in the future they will be able to virtually send things into the games. Maybe the can send actual people in them.

WRAP Three things that I have learned

One of the cool things that I learned from Dr. Benzing was that large amounts of mercury was found in the south river. That waynesboro is trying to bring in tourism through fishing. They are also trying to restore the trout population, by trying to make hatchery and maybe make it a commercial product.

iPads rule

Today we finally got our iPads and they are awesome.
