Book soundtrack

A Long Way Gone

CLIMAX
The climax occurs when Ishmael realizes he will never escape war and find peace until he leaves Sierra Leone. He finds a way to get to Guinea and then to New York City and become a new person. So the struggle to get out was very tough but he did it. Through the harsh trials and tribulations his hope got him through. I picked this song because it is more of a motivational thing. Like he is just realized his way out.

4 mine today

THEME
There is always Hope. Just when Ishmael seems to be totally lost in the horrors of war, doomed to eventually die at the hands of a war he finds the light at the end of the tunnel. More of a perseverance or a will to escape the horrors of war.

PROTAGONIST
Ishmael Baeh a boy from Sierra Leone goes on a climatic journey of sadness, and horror.
I picked this song because it made me think of the character as a more courageous individual because he had to do a lot of things for his friends that he didn't want to do.

Run dmc walk this way

OVERALL SONG
I picked this song because of the fact that through this book it is mostly action thier is no down time through the book. And because these people caught in between didn't like it either because innocent lives are caught in between, so what is war good for.

War huh yeah what is it good for.

Random story things
When he stayed out in the woods for months it became his home. But he dreams of being some where else no where near war. So I chose this song because it depicts all the things he hoped and longed to get away from war.

MATH AND SPORTS&GAMES

This class is awesome I like talking about sports and the statistics of things working out. This is a cool class because it applies learning to real events or things. The one thing I don't like is the constant reminder of the patriots. Just because they go one season eighteen and o their amazing. But back to the good things. I like my teacher he is pretty cool he's funny and always wears a polo. One thing I don't like is lack of using our iPads for the class. And I hate the app. Numbers because it does nothing. I like doing the plinko game I loved doing stuff on football. This is a all around good class it's not to hard and it's not to easy I enjoy this class  and I think everyone should experience this.

This class has made me see the benefits of knowing math in sports such as should you go for it on 4th and 2 on the 50 yard line. I think this is a great class it's exciting and the teacher is awesome besides him being a patriots fan.

Greek police send crime victims to Neo Nazi protectors/ Helena Smith in Athens

Quote:
"I never imagined that something like Golden Dawn would happen here, that Greeks could vote for such people," she sighed. "This policy they have of giving food only to the Greeks and blood only to the Greeks. The whole package is terrifying. This is a party based on hate of 'the other'. Now 'the other' is immigrants, but who will 'the other' be tomorrow?"

Response:
I agree that this uprising of the golden dawn could go really bad. It will probably cause more problems then it can solve. They say they aren't discriminative but they only give certain things like food to their on race. They threatened to beat a foreigner with a club because the other street venders were complaining. I think that this will unravel the Greek government because, there own police force is sending people with there problems to the golden dawn, so they don't have to do anything.

Ten Smart Phone Habits you should Avoid By: Andrea Bartz

Quote:
Look, we all have our personal stock of First World Problems, frustrated complaints with the minor injustices committed by a cruel, uncaring world. That's been true since the dawn of time. Now we just have myriad means of expressing them.

Reaction:
Since technology has evolved with the years. Our way of expressing and venting has changed as well. So instead of use writing it in a journal or talking with the person to fix it, we decide to put it out their for the world to see. Places like Facebook, twitter, Skype, and other chat sites. We all have our own problems that need to be dealt with, so we don't need everyone else's problems to add on to our own. So I think for thousands of people to just complain all the time over silly things is ridiculous. We as people should be strong enough to solve our own individual issues to make life a little bit easier.
